Her skin is pale with a slight peach colored skin tone the reason her skin is so pale is due to her half vampire heritage the peach color comes from her half human parentage. Valena does have vampire fangs on her two front molars common with vampires but being a half-blood like her parents the need for blood is not as important as it would be to a full vampire. Given that her father is a Gothic vampire rockstar Valena has adopted the Gothic casual attire such as a black skirt and black lace top with arms length sleeves and black fingerless gloves and she only wears this attire when not wearing her black school robes. One part of Valena’s outfit that she wears all the time is a necklace given to her by her father when she was accepted to Hogwarts. Valena hopes to accomplish one or both of her goals while at Hogwarts. To become a singer and musician like her father and a great witch like her mother who also attended Hogwarts. One of her fears is that she is hated and hunted down for her vampire heritage while her father was a public figure and questions would be asked if he “disappeared” Valena fears she would a bigger target of hate and violence.

Valena is a kind, sweet, yet kind of shy girl. She has musical aspirations due in part to her father’s fame as a musician but she hopes to put her own mark on the world. One of the passions she shared with her mother was a love for magic and Quidditch and she vowed on the train to Hogwarts that she would never miss a house game. Valena is a kind of party girl meaning that if she hears good music and people having fun she is drawn to it like a moth to a flame and you cannot tear this girl away from the dance floor if she gets too imbedded in the music.
Valena is proud of her vampire heritage but at the same time she feels it is a kind of curse as well. One example is how Muggles view vampires in movies, television, and books. They view them as monsters or brooding anti-heroes who deserve to be hunter down and slaughtered. It is because of this that she kind of fear Muggles as much as she is interested in them. She is a friend to those who don’t act like snobs or bullies but what she truly hates are people who are intolerant to vampires. Nothing pisses her off more than someone who HATES vampires.

HISTORY
Valena Alana d’Eath was born in 2007 along with her twin brother to Lorcan and Zurie d’Eath, a half-blooded vampire couple. In addition to her twin brother Valena has three older siblings her sister is three years older than her, her eldest brother is two years older, and her brother before her is only a year older. Every time her parents got pregnant they feared getting a full blooded human or vampire child as the statistic for such an occurrence with 25% for either or while it was 50% that a child born between them such as Valena would be a half-blood like themselves. Valena grew up hearing about Harry Potter and the Second Wizarding War from her parents, her father knew about it only from a spectator’s point of view since he was on tour with his band mostly during the war but her mother who was a half-blooded witch experienced it firsthand. The stories of what happened to everyone was horrible and she feared as a little girl that she may be hunted down or just randomly killed for being of “tainted” blood.
That fear still stick with her and she thinks about it from time to time especially hearing about what Muggles think of vampires but she worries less and less about it each day but never totally forgets. It was when Valena was fifteen and her sister was starting school at Hogwarts that she decided to adopt a Gothic style of attire much like her father did during his touring days and it was also at this time she decided to get into music. For three years she received music and singing lessons from her father in preparation for her eventual acceptance into Hogwarts like her older siblings. Valena also adopted a second passion, which was for Quidditch. Her mother often took her to Quidditch matches and her father took her the Quidditch World Cup as a present for her eighteenth birthday. When she was accepted to Hogwarts her face lit up more than it had in years and the smile on her face was as bright as the sun itself.
After receiving her letter her father gave her a gift to take with her to school, a silver locket with a picture of her parents together inside but on the other side was a blank space. When she asked her father why it was blank he smiled and said to her “when you decide who should be there it won’t be empty anymore.” Valena didn’t want to take an owl or a toad as a pet so she went with irony and took a vampire bat which she named Steve. When the sorting ceremony took place Valena sat with her twin brother wondering which house they would be sorted into as their sister and younger brother had been sorted into Gryffindor and their elder brother was sorted into Ravenclaw. Valena was called first and she had been sorted into Ravenclaw with her elder brother but the real shock came when her twin brother was sorted into Slytherin. Slytherin in the past was known for churning out dark witches and wizards but she dismissed that as wild speculation, after all she knew her brother. Now she sets off into the unknown of Hogwarts University.
